Maxim Medical Services has worked hard to become an industry leader installing and servicing surgical lights, surgical booms, surgical operating tables, and other surgical OR equipment. We have assembled a staff of the most knowledgeable professionals in the industry who are experts in their areas of the OR. Our Specializations cover everything from OR Lights & Booms to Audio/Video Integration and OR Tables. In addition to our current staff of elite professionals, our continuous improvement goals are for all members of the Maxim Medical Services team to become experts in all areas of the OR. Maxim Medical Services has developed a training program to continually educate our staff on new aspects of both legacy and cutting edge systems in the OR.

Philip Cowart

Philip Cowart - President/CEO

Philip Cowart is the President and CEO of Maxim Medical Services, Inc., and has lead the impressive success and growth of the company since 2003. Phil grew up assisting his dad with service, sales and installation of surgical lighting and equipment. He studied business at Utah Valley State before joining Hereaus as a Field Service Technician. Seeing a need for an industry leader in the medical lighting / equipment service and installation industry he set out to create an organization that would do just that. 14 years later, Maxim Medical Services, Inc. is an industry leader with partners and clients that are major players in surgical equipment manufacturing.

Jennifer Hinkel

Chief Financial Officer

Jennifer comes to Maxim with twenty-five years of experience in various financial positions. Her strengths include accurate and timely historical financial performance, treasury duties, forecasting, assessing financial risks and fulfilling the vision of the Executive Team. She graduated from the University of Saint Francis with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a MBA in Finance. She is a member of the Financial Executives International, Fort Wayne Chapter and served on the Membership Board from 2004 – 2011.

Lesa Ross, PhD

Vice President of Global RA/QA

Lesa joined Maxim Medical Services in March 2014, bringing over 30 years of experience in the quality and reliability fields. Lesa is responsible for the quality management system at Maxim and ensuring that the quality management system is maintained and continually improved allowing efficient and effective processes that contribute to Maxim being a leader in our industry. Lesa was a consultant for 15 years assisting organizations in obtaining ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and ISO 14001 certification. All of her clients were successful in achieving their certification during the first assessment. Lesa’s strengths include her ability to understand an organization and develop the necessary processes and trainings required allowing them to operate efficiently and effectively within the regulatory requirements. Lesa has a PhD in Reliability Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. Her dissertation was titled “Methodology for Detection and Assessment of the Impact of Informal Processes on Organizational Output.”

Ronald Lux

National Service Manager

Ron is responsible for handling a global team of Service Technicians, scheduling coordinators, project managers and overseeing several crucial areas of the day-to-day business operations. Ron joined Maxim in 2013 bringing 34 years of experience in Service, Technical, Business and Customer Relations experience, including the last 11years direct Capitol Medical Equipment installation and Service. Ron identifies ways to streamline processes and implement best practices. He brings forth leadership and development of the service support team, training, mentoring and setting the example to fulfill the company mission. Ron has a degree in Mechanical Technology, certifications in drafting and design, and is a licensed electrician.

Chris Cottongame

Operations Manager

Chris comes to Maxim Medical Services with 12+ years of experience in capital medical equipment management. His skills include experience in project management, construction and renovation, installation, and technical support. As a project manager, Chris managed a yearly volume of $12 million dollars in active projects. He has participated in and led KAIZEN Events for process improvement, served as an audit team member, and managed a national installation schedule for an average of 50 projects per week. Chris has obtained an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Josh Kennedy

Customer Service Manager

Josh Kennedy is Maxim Medical’s Customer Service Manager. Josh joined Maxim in 2008 as a field technician. After gaining experience and expertise in that arena he brought this knowledge in-house as a Quoter, and soon took on the role of Customer Service Manager. In this role some of Josh’s responsibilities include overseeing customer service requests, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Craig Simon

Field Services Development Engineer

Craig is responsible for the training and development plan. Craig directs and coordinate programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of Maxim Medical employees. This is done in coordination with the RA/QA group ensuring that the quality management system is maintained and continually improved. Craig came to Maxim Medical in 2014 with 23 years of knowledge in AV, project management, engineering, programming, networking and technical support. He has 10+ years working directly in the medical field managing Multi-million dollar accounts for Karl Storz Endoscopy. Craig was educated at DeVry University and the Caribbean Meteorological Institute.
