Maxim Medical Services has worked hard to become an industry leader installing and servicing surgical lights, surgical booms, surgical operating tables, and other surgical OR equipment. We have assembled a staff of the most knowledgeable professionals in the industry who are experts in their areas of the OR. Our Specializations cover everything from OR Lights & Booms to Audio/Video Integration and OR Tables.

In addition to our current staff of elite professionals, our continuous improvement goals are for all members of the Maxim Medical Services team to become experts in all areas of the OR. Maxim Medical Services has developed a training program to continually educate our staff on new aspects of both legacy and cutting edge systems in the OR.

    Philip Cowart

    President/CEO

    Philip Cowart is the President and CEO of Maxim Medical Services, Inc., and has lead the impressive success and growth of the company since 2003. Phil grew up assisting his dad with service, sales and installation of surgical lighting and equipment. He studied business at Utah Valley State before joining Hereaus as a Field Service Technician. Seeing a need for an industry leader in the medical lighting / equipment service and installation industry he set out to create an organization that would do just that. 14 years later, Maxim Medical Services, Inc. is an industry leader with partners and clients that are major players in surgical equipment manufacturing.

    Ronald Lux

    Director of Business Development

    Ron has been a part of Maxim since 2013; bringing with him 19 years’ experience in field trade disciplines and 12 years in the medical devices, and operating rooms. Ron worked for Berchtold from 2007 until 2013. Ron was responsible for a multi-state territory; installing 1.5 - 5 million dollars a year in new equipment while maintaining service for the entire region and preserving a 100 percent customer satisfaction rating during his tenure.
    Ron completed College, Trade school and the IBEW Electrical Apprenticeship in the Western New York area. Ron and his wife of 35 years, Linda, currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.

    Jill Eder

    Controller

    Jill handles the daily financial management for Maxim Medical, bringing over 30 years of experience to the position. Jill is a CPA, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and earned her MBA with an Accounting Specialization from Indiana Wesleyan University. In addition to her work experience, Jill has instructed college courses that have included Managerial Accounting, Federal Taxation, and QuickBooks Accounting Software. Jill is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Outside the office, Jill enjoys spending time with friends and family as well as playing tennis, boating and kayaking.

    Josh Kennedy

    Operations Manager

    Josh Kennedy joined Maxim as a Field Service Technician in 2008, worked as a Technician for three and a half years before working his way into management. Josh takes pride in his work and strives to be detailed and accurate with everything he does.
    Josh is originally from Price, UT. He met and married his wife in Utah when he was 19 years old and relocated to Indiana where they’re raising four girls! Josh is a family man, spending most of his time with his family. Josh love sports, playing Basketball, Volleyball, Football, and Spike Ball being the main ones. Josh also loves cars, motorcycles, and technology.

    Matthew Ramsey

    National Service Manager

    Matthew gave seven years of honorable service in The Navy achieving rank of Petty Officer 1st class (GSM1 (SW) Ramsey). Matthew had the opportunity to visit the top of Mt. Fuji twice, Vietnam once, Bali, and Singapore while in The Navy. Matthew worked for Berchtold for 7 years as a Senior Service Technician, training new hires and addressing escalated service calls after his time in The Navy.
    Matthew enjoys helping people and learning new things. He’s not directly saving lives but provides the tools for others to do so. Matthew thinks of his work through the lens of his wife or kids being next on an operating table or under an OR light. He believes his work needs to be done right the first time and tries to get our team to use the same mindset; allowing for first pass installs / repairs and a better enabled end user to save lives.
    Matthew has several ponds and canals near his home and likes to fish when able. Matthew encourages his kids to build with Legos instead of watching TV. He enjoys watching them imagine and create things.

    Sherie Wicker

    Compliance Manager

    Sherie has over 20-year experience in Compliance and has learned to keep calm in emergency situations. Sherie cherishes family time with her kids, grandkids, and extended family. She enjoys supporting her youngest son who participates is football, wrestling, and track. She’s an outdoor enthusiast, taking every opportunity to go camping, fishing, and mud bogging. Sherie’s loves cooking, baking, and shooting bow and arrows as well as guns.

    Matthew Denis

    Warehouse Product Specialist

    Matthew grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana and graduated from Indiana University – Purdue University Fort Wayne with degrees in Business Management and Marketing. Along with his degree, he has earned Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Kaizen Certifications. Matthew volunteers his time at various food banks and Neighborhood Link. Sports are an important part of his life. He plays on two softball leagues and enjoys playing beach volleyball, dodgeball, and soccer in his spare time. Matthew loves old cars and hopes to start restoring one soon.

    Greg Long

    Inventory Specialist

    Greg was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration management and human resource management. He also managed his own remodeling business for five years. Greg believes life is too short not to enjoy life. He appreciates spending time with friends, anything involving bonfires, playing cards, yard games, or golfing. Being around and helping people gives Greg personal gratification and purpose so he volunteers with maintenance at the church he attends.

    Brian Kirchberg

    Equipment Repair Technician

    Brian Kirchberg joined Maxim in 2018 as an Equipment Repair Technician. Brian is a great contributor to Maxim’s high-quality standards as he tests and repairs a myriad of equipment ensuring safety and functionality before getting it into customer’s hands. Prior to this Brian served in the Marine Corp where he worked on aircrafts. He also attended Madison College; earning a degree in Electronics. Brian grew up in a small town in Wisconsin and enjoys hiking and fishing outside of work.

    Craig Simon

    Field Services Development Engineer

    Craig is responsible for the training and development plan. Craig directs and coordinate programs to enhance the knowledge and skills of Maxim Medical employees. This is done in coordination with the RA/QA group ensuring that the quality management system is maintained and continually improved. Craig came to Maxim Medical in 2014 with 23 years of knowledge in AV, project management, engineering, programming, networking and technical support. He has 10+ years working directly in the medical field managing Multi-million dollar accounts for Karl Storz Endoscopy. Craig was educated at DeVry University and the Caribbean Meteorological Institute.

    Kevin joined Maxim Medical Services in 2017; he believes in getting the job done right in order to accomplish company and client goals. The amount of pride he takes in his work earned him the Employee of the Month award. He enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where he can contribute to keeping people healthy. Kevin enjoys traveling and would like to learn new languages. He also appreciates good food, boating, working out, BBQ’s, the range, and spending time with family.

    Bart earned a master’s degree from The Academy of Agriculture. Bart is a family man and is passionate about spending quality time with his wife and son as well as becoming a better person. Bart enjoys the beauty of nature as it gives him an overwhelming sense of purpose. He has a big heart for animals and enjoys coaching youth hockey for the Dallas Start Metro League.

    Angel is Cuban and has been in the medical device industry since 2005 joining Maxim Medical Services in 2019. Angel likes spending time making memories with his wife and children. He enjoys watching various types of sports in his free time. He also relishes taking his family fishing for quality time. Angel wishes he could eliminate poverty from our world, so people don’t have to suffer.

    Aquarius Angry

    Field Service Technician

    Aquarius joined Maxim in 2018 as a Field Service Technician; specializing in servicing and installing surgical lights, booms, and audio-visual systems in healthcare facilities nationwide. Prior to Maxim Aquarius was in a management role for 5 years, received awards for top five sales technician twice in one year and maintained over 90% customer service score during a two-year period.
    Aquarius lives his life by the following personal values: Achievement, Adventure, Courage, Creativity, Dependability, Determination, Friendship, Health, Honesty, and Independence.
    Aquarius grew up in Smithville, GA playing basketball. He is a family man dedicated to his wife, two brothers, and sister. Aquarius has many hobbies outside work including lifting weights, and spending time with family/friends.
