Maxim Achieves ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 Certifications  -  9/19/2014

Maxim Medical Services, Inc. was awarded certificates of registration on 18 September 2014 under international standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003.

Maxim welcomes Lesa Ross to RA/QA Department  -  4/1/2014

Lesa joined Maxim Medical in March 2014, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the quality and reliability fields. Lesa began her career as a seismic qualification engineer for nuclear power plants with Duke Power Company in Charlotte, NC. Lesa joined the defense division of Texas Instruments in 1982, serving as a quality and reliability engineer on classified projects. During this time, she was instrumental in developing a training program for quality control inspectors as well as implementing a divisional supplier qualification program.

Maxim Invests in New Fleet of Vans  -  1/3/2014

Maxim Medical Services recently purchased a fleet of brand new Nissan cargo vans. Along with the purchase of the vans, Maxim has outfitted each of them with state of the art tools and a variety of parts that will enable our Field Service Technicians to be more efficient and effective when working in the field. The vans include GPS tracking capabilities, enabling our dispatch team to geographically assign service technicians to best facilitate the call and deliver enhanced service quality when customer needs arise.

 In furthering our efforts to minimize response lead times and to maximize efficiency, Maxim has committed to a regionalization philosophy, locating technicians and fully stocked service vehicles at and around major metropolitan markets throughout the United States. Maxim currently has a physical presence in nine states and is within reasonable driving distance to 90% of major US cities. Maxim continues to expand its footprint in the US and is totally committed to delivering the highest value service in the industry.

Maxim welcomes Ron Lux to Field Team Management  -  10/28/2013

Maxim Medical Services is pleased to welcome Ron Lux as Regional Service Manager. Ron brings with him 18 years of experience in field trade disciplines and 12 years of experience in direct professional management, and 8 years in the medical device, operating room theater. Ron brings tremendous experience in the Medical and Hospital disciplines with an emphasis on Radiologic and Surgical Sciences. Specifically, planning, design and installations. Managing projects from one room, to newly built Hospitals with general OR’s, Cath Labs, Robotic suites, specialty and advanced imaging suites, Hybrid OR’s and Cysto rooms. Working in conjunction with the major Original Equipment Manufacturers from Siemens, GE, Philips and others.

Operating room lights, booms, and surgical tables are also a major part of his industry experience. Ron worked from 2007 until 2013 for Berchtold Corporation in Charleston, SC. Being responsible for a large multi-state territory. Installing 1.5 to 5 million dollars a year in new equipment while maintaining service and repairs for the entire region preserving a 100 percent customer satisfaction rating for his tenure.

Maxim Welcomes Louis Humphrey to Executive Team  -  7/1/2013

Maxim is excited about the addition of Louis Humphrey as Director of Operations to our Executive Team.  Louis began his Career in the medical industry with Wisap USA as a repair technician as was soon promoted to manage the technical repair department. After a merger of companies Louis joined Heraeus Lasersonics.  At Lasersonics Louis was added to the research and development team and was instrumental in the development of CO2 and Yag laser systems.  During this timeframe Louis received a patent for a Semi Automated Tissue Morcellation device for the removal of cancerous tissue in the Uterus.  As a part of Lasersonics, later to become Laserscope, Louis developed many components and applications of existing components for the surgical theater.  Lasersope divested the Boom and Light segment of their business which became Heraeus Medical.  At Heraeus Louis designed surgical suites and was responsible for operations and technical support.

Maxim CEO, Phil Cowart, Hosts First Lady of Honduras to meet Utah Governor and LDS Church leadership  -  11/20/2011

While performing humanitarian work in Honduras, Phil Cowart, CEO of Maxim Medical, formed a relationship with the First Lady of Honduras, Rosa Elena Bonilla de Lobo.  Through this relationship, Maxim was able to provide much needed surgical lights for Hospital Escuela's 10 operating rooms.  Upon completion of the project, Philip and Shane Thomson had the privilege, along with UVSU, to host the First Lady to visit the Governor of Utah and the leadership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Maxim Donates surgical lights to Hospital Esquela in Honduras  -  8/21/2011

Through the "Light Up the World Foundation", Maxim Medical Services donated 10 sets of ALM surgical lights to the Hospital Esquela in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  These lights provided a substantial upgrade in the Operating rooms there.  Maxim CEO, Phil Cowart, and long time installer, Derrick Krauskopf, were able to travel to Honduras for the installation.

Maxim Medical Expands Into New Facility  -  1/4/2010

In the 4th Quarter of 2009 Maxim Medical acquired a new facility that has plenty of room for the continued growth.  The new facility offers 57,000 sq ft of space, over 50,000 more than the previous facility.  In addition to the increase of space, the new facility has a better loading dock configuration, has better access for shipping/deliveries, and to local airport and highways, and has a showroom for product display.  Plans for the new facility include a state of the art technician training area, large surgical light display area, and improved light refurbishment work areas. Projections for the future not only encompass the new facility, but upwards of 50 new jobs over the next few years.
